INTENDED FOR:

 All, personnel involved in Forklift Operations.

 AIM:

 To describe the hazards of forklift truck operations, and the control methods necessary to reduce  and prevent accidents.

 OBJECTIVES:                                                                                                        

At the end of the course the trainee should be able to:

  • Describe the causes of typical accidents involving forklift trucks
  • Explain the basic techniques required to maneuver forklift trucks safely
  • Describe the basic safety rules to be followed when using forklift trucks
  • Explain the requirements for safe forklift truck operations
  • Describe the requirements for forklift truck maintenance and inspection

 

TRAINING (OF FRESH HANDS) ON MOBILE CRANE OPERATIONS

Course Modules/Curriculum will conform:

  1. In line with CITB UK (CPCS A60—see attached)
  2. API RP 2D
  3. with NCCCO curriculums: 29 CFR 1926.1427 Subpart CC

Training Methods:

  1. Classroom Sessions (interactive)
  2. Practical sessions on 50Tons dedicated Mobile Crane
  3. Simulator Sessions (NACB Inc. Crane Simulators )
  4. Safety (HSE) sessions on mobile crane operations
  5. Testing & Examination

 

Certification

  • Trade Test Certificate from the Federal Ministry of Labor
  • Joint certificate with the Nigerian Society of Engineers + Rated Cranes Ltd

 

Simulator: A Mobile Crane Simulator shall be set up for this training.

 

Trainer: Experienced Trainer from Rated Cranes & NSE Ikeja

Examiner:  Chartered Equipment Examiner from The Nigerian Society of Engineers, Ikeja Branch

Examiner/Tester: Federal Testing Specialist from the Federal Ministry of Labour

 

TRAINING OF MINING/QUARRY OPERATORS

Type of Environment:                   Open Surface Mining

Equipment List:                               DOZER-D9/D10, CAT-740,  ADT, Excavator 390 FL, Loader 990 series

All training materials shall be prepared to meet Larfarge Requirements and approved prior to commencement

Regulatory Requirements: Will conform to provisions in;

  1. MSHA Part 46 and Part 48 mines
  2. National Plant Operator Registration Scheme
  3. In line with CITB UK (CPCS —see attached)
  4. API RP 2D
  5. NCCER curriculums:
  6. 29 CFR 1926.1427 Subpart CC

  • Dedicated Mining Equipment LOCAL VIDEO made by Rated Tech and Its Partners
  1. Practical sessions on the selected equipment
  • Assessment of each Trainee to ascertain operational deficiency and competency
  • Evaluation of basic maintenance skills

 

  1. Safety (HSE) sessions on equipment operations
  • Knowledge of applicable safety regulations
  • Classroom interactive
  • Evaluation of Trainee on Equipment Inspection & Start-up
  1. Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Trainee shall be continually monitored and evaluated against set-criteria
  • Downloading Equipment Operational Memory for analysis (where applicable)
  1. Testing & Examination

Testing:

  • Theory Test
  • Practical test
  • Monitoring & Evaluation

Certification

  • Trade Test Certificate from the Federal Ministry of Labor
  • Joint certificate with the Nigerian Society of Engineers + Rated Cranes Ltd
  • Possibility of issuing NPORS (United Kingdom) Certification if requested.

Trainer:

  • 2 Experienced Mining Equipment Operator/Trainers  from Rated Cranes & its partner (CV will be    approved by client prior to commencement )
  • 2 Experienced Quarry Multi Equipment Operators

Examiner: 

  • Master Equipment Examiner and Accredited Equipment Inspector
  • The Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers

Tester:

  • Federal Testing Specialist from the Federal Ministry of Labour
